 I was hospitalized due to a tumor in my vocal cords on January 10th, 2007.

I woke up from the anesthesia when a nurse called my name and shook my body.

I felt a severe pain in my throat and tongue at first. Then the pain choked me. 

It felt like there was a lump in my throat.

I struggled to breathe. My wife cried with a panic stricken surprise, "Exhale deeply."

The nurse urgently changed the oxygen supply from a nose tube to a oxygen mask.

I took a deep breath repeatedly. I felt like I was dying!
